I just wrote to Bess yesterday that I was going to post some of their pictures today on my blog and I felt that I had to tell her in my e-mail that I was struck by a couple of things on their wedding day. One thing was the absolute love that Bess had for everyone surrounding her on her day, but especially her parents which you can see from the pictures posted here. Another thing that struck me was Adelki’s love for his bride. It’s not like other grooms don’t demonstrate this, but I could tell by the way he looked at her that there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for her and when he saw her walking down the aisle, I almost lost it just photographing his expression. On top of everything else, what a fun wedding full of Greek dancing!

It’s been a while since I’ve shot at Baker Beach and was pleasantly surprised when John and Taylor and I arrived and found absolutely perfect weather. I’ve never experienced such warm weather at Baker beach. We had a lot of fun at our shoot and I’m so looking forward to John and Taylor’s wedding in May! Amy Nichols of Amy Nichols Special Events will be our coordinator.

I’m back a little more than a week now from an amazing experience of travel in Ethiopia. I mentioned in my last post that I was going with two dear friends to help them bring home their two newly adopted children. Not only did I experience gorgeous scenery, wonderful people and some wild animals, but I also got a glimpse into the pure emotion and joy of the adoption process. Not only did I experience this with my friends, but with the other families staying in the guesthouse with us. I am truly blown away by these amazing new parents who have opened their hearts and homes to just a handful of the 4.5 million orphans in Ethiopia. I have a somewhat condensed slideshow for public viewing. Of course the slideshow I’ve created for my friends includes a lot more of the meeting their kids and getting to know them shots! I’ve snuck a few shots in this slideshow, but mostly this is about the overall experience. Here is a link to the slideshow: Ethiopia and here are a few teasers. Enjoy!

Such a lovely little resource book! I first saw Today’s Bride displayed at the Magic Flute restaurant in San Francisco and immediately decided I wanted to advertise in it. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that in addition to my ad, Suzanne of Atelier Des Modistes used one of my photos and another photo from a real wedding shoot of aisle flowers done by Natasha of Waterlily Pond was used as a chapter opener! Pick up a copy of Today’s Bride!

I’m always thrilled when I get a feature on Style Me Pretty. It’s such a gorgeous bridal blog! This is my first time since becoming a coveted “Little Black Book” member, that I’ve had a feature on their “LBB” blog!
Gena and Ryan’s wedding was so gorgeous and I’m thrilled that an indoor ballroom wedding is getting featured. Not all weddings are outdoor wine country weddings and the classic San Francisco venues are all so gorgeous and worth checking out!
Thanks to Amy Nichols of Amy Nicholes Special Events, Floramor, The Bently Reserve and of course, Gena and Ryan for such a perfect and gorgeous wedding to photograph! Click on this link to view the feature: Style Me Pretty
