You may have seen Penny’s maternity shoot two weeks ago. Well, here is baby Maddie! So sweet. I just love newborn babies. Funny. Not a lot of people get to see them as often as I do. I never take it for granted. They are only so tiny for so long and I cherish hearing those little newborn squeaks. So precious. It’s priceless to catch your baby within the first two weeks of life. You’ll be surprised how quickly they grow! Congratulations Penny and Sean!

I photographed Penny and Sean’s Valentine’s day elopement two years ago and hurray! They contacted me to ask if I would shoot their maternity session! We squeezed it in right by the hair of our chinny-chin-chins because baby Maddie was born a little over a week later and I shoot her newborn session in a few days! The Laguna de Santa Rose Foundation was the perfect and most beautiful backdrop for this shoot!

I photographed Jodi and Shane’s wedding a few years ago and was so excited to be invited into their home to photograph their two-week-old baby girl, Harlow. What a little darling! Jodi was such a gorgeous bride and I remember how gorgeous those flowers by Nancy Liu Chin Floral & Event Design were!

My studio-mate and I did a trade of photography! She photographed my most recent head shots and I photographed her lovely family in exchange. Here are a few of my favorites from their family portrait session. I’ve also included some lovely shots she took of me!
I call this one Vavoom! I recently lost weight am was pleased to see that I looked pretty darned good in a 3/4 length shot!

When my dear neighbors told me they had just become grandparents for the first time, I jumped at the chance to photograph their newborn grandson. I just LOVE taking photos of newborns. Within the first two weeks is ideal while they are still so very tiny. Enjoy these sweet photos of Abdu and his proud parents!

I’ve been photographing this family every year since the day Bridget and Jim got married! I swear their kids just get cuter and cuter! This time Bridget dressed all three in matching monogrammed outfits from Kate and Libby. I thought they were gorgeous and perfect for our Lake Michigan-side shoot!

Previous wedding clients of mine welcomed their baby girl Margot into the world a couple of weeks ago. Erin and Nick were married six years ago and I was fortunate enough to photograph their wedding at the Fairmont, San Francisco and St. Ignatius Church. It’s always fun to see former wedding clients as new parents. Margot is just the most petite little sweetie and I was thrilled to meet her and share in another intimate milestone of Erin and Nick’s lives!

I photographed Deborah and Kwong’s lovely Casa Real wedding a couple of years ago and just as we completed their wedding album, they welcomed Jayden into the world! It’s always an honor when former wedding clients welcome me into their home to capture another milestone in their lives. I was so happy to see Deborah and Kwong in their new roles in life and to see the ultimate outcome of their union!
